SumWorth

Product information

Research first. An account only when you need one.

SumWorth is a research workbench for students and curious investors. It helps compare portfolio ideas with available history while keeping assumptions, sources, coverage and limitations beside each result. It does not execute trades or give personal financial advice.

Start as a guest

You can explore the research workspace without signing in, including backtests, forecasts, allocation and risk views, scenarios, and News & Context. Guest research is kept in your browser unless you explicitly export or share a result; it is not an account-backed saved workspace.

What signing in currently adds

An account lets you save portfolios and private research reports or notebooks, keep completed analysis history, and use account-backed monitoring and notifications. Account-only pages ask you to sign in; core research remains available to guests.

Pricing status

No paid tier is currently available. No future paid plan, price, launch date, or future entitlement has been announced.

Common questions

How do I start?

Open the research workspace and choose Backtest or another guest research view. You do not need to create an account to run available research.

What does an account save?

A signed-in account can save portfolios, completed analysis history, and private reports or notebooks, and can keep monitoring preferences and notification history. Guest work is browser-local unless you export or share it.

Where do historical prices and news come from?

Historical prices are returned from the provider named on each result; the current integrations include Yahoo Finance and, when configured and selected as a fallback, Alpha Vantage. News & Context uses Yahoo Finance and Alpha Vantage headline feeds. Macro series are identified separately as FRED. These are different data types, not interchangeable sources.

How should I read coverage limits?

Available observations vary by symbol, provider, and requested date window. A partial, insufficient, or unavailable result means the requested history was not fully returned; missing observations are not silently made into observed data. Aggregate provider health figures do not guarantee coverage for a particular symbol or window.

Why SumWorth exists

The product is designed to make historical portfolio research easier to inspect: what was asked, what data was returned, which assumptions were used, and what the result does not establish. Research outputs are descriptive or model-based, not predictions, guarantees, or instructions to trade.
